Diesel engine as a driving force behind the institution, has been widely used in theshipbuilding industry. With the development of microelectronics technology and marineengine room automation technology, the diesel engine electronic control technology isincreasingly of concern. Needless to say, electronic control technology is helpfull toimprove the level of ship automation and diesel engine emissions performanceadvantages, it is an effective way to improve the emission performance of diesel engines.According to thelaggard development of digital electronic control system for dieselengines andthe low-level technique, research and development must be done. With theimprovement of and the microprocessor performance, using micro-processing chip withembedded operating system,intelligent control strategies and algorithms to achieve thefull conditions of the diesel engine optimal control is mainstream of governor research.Fistly, Based on the analysis of current status and developing trend of speedregulation technique at home and abroad, Establish the mean value model for controlanalysis; Secondly, because diesel engine has the features of non-linear,time-varying,strong coupling and load fluctuation, using self-adaption PID control algorithm, we canfinally achieve the optimizing control within the scope of entire diesel engine. Thirdly,Embedded Linux operating system transplanted to S3C2410microprocessor and threaddesigned to meet the task of speed control.The Linux multi-linear synchronoustechnology and software signal interrupt has a higher real-time, reliability and openness.Real-time monitoring of the diesel engine control parameters and runningparameters can be modificated via IFIX PC monitoring platform.By taking thisembedded governor to laboratory vessel engine room automation physical platformhardware in the loop simulation, the result show that it greatly enhance the reliability ofship engine room automation,the system dynamic and steady-state performance andachieve the desired goals of main technical indicators,functionality and reliability.
