As the benefits of fewer processes, less material loss, higher product quality,connecting rod splitting technology has become the latest technology in connecting rodmachining at home and abroad. That the research, development and application ofconnecting rod splitting technology has important meaning for improve product qualityand production efficiency, reduce costs, improve economic efficiency, enhance thecompetitiveness in the automotive industry and motor industry.Frame is the most important part of connecting rod splitting machine. When splitthe connecting rod apart, the frame will bear a considerable load. That how to improvethe frame shape design, the strength and the stiffness is the problem we should consider.In order to design the frame, we must calculate the strength and the stiffness of theframe and learn the static and dynamic properties of the frame. So this researchdiscussed the distribution of the stress and displacement of the frame which is undersplitting machine.This research analyzed the frame of the connecting rod splitting machine by finiteelement analysis. By the understanding of the connecting rod splitting technology andthe connecting rod splitting machine, using the software of finite element analysis, withthe theoretical basis of finite element analysis, do static analysis, modal analysis andtransient response analysis and evaluate and analyze the results.The study of manufacturing process of engine connecting rod, connecting rodsplitting machine, the theoretical basis of finite element analysis and the software offinite element analysis is the base of program the finite element analysis of the frame.Calculate out the position and the size of the frame main force by the analysis ofthe frame. Then firstly, solve the force, analyze the static characteristic, observe and analyze the results. Finally, come to a conclusion that is condition of the stress and thedisplacement the frame, and find that the more dangerous location of the frame.By use the modal analysis, get the top-order natural modes. By analyzing the modeof the frame per-order frequencies and analyzing the dynamic properties of the frame,then come to the conclusion.Transient dynamics analysis on the rack, find out the advantages and disadvantagesof dynamic performance of splitting machine.By analyzing the frame under static and dynamic loads, the largest deformedposition is the front of surface and the side column. The maximum displacement of theframe is0.12608mm.The stress is36.284Mpa and40.548Mpa when the collected stresssection of frame is under static and dynamic loads, which is lower than yield-limit345Mpa of the frame. The frame of the splitting machine that we discussed in thisarticle meets the challenge of strength. The connecting rod splitting frequency is lowerthan the minimum frequency of the frame(43.702Hz),and higher than the frequency ofsound(20Hz).It meets the requirements of reducing noise pollution.This discussion has analyzed the broken of motor connecting rod frame by finiteelement analysis,gets the reality force, total regular of stress, strain,drift, in order to getthe statics response, tendencies response and the modal parameter. It has a veryimportant meaning of understanding the response of existing form and improving thefunction. The analyze way we told has provided the theory testify and the realityguidance for designing the broken of motor connecting frame.
