Electric power system is composed of electric energy production, transportation,consumption and various related one or two equipment consisting of a whole, and thesubstation is the power system of the central link, especially now that large capacity generatorput into operation continuously and ultra high voltage long distance transmission and network,make the power system control is more complex, if not earlier construction of substationtechnical reformation will not meet the power grid safe and stable operation, need.Substation location generally ranged from power plants and users, plays a collection ofelectric energy, the distribution of power function. Substation operation management level,directly affecting the overall system operation conditions, in the whole electric power systemis very important.500kV AC substation is currently an important hub of electric network,along with the development of social economy, the safe and reliable operation of the powersystem has put forward higher requirements, therefore, the early construction of500kV ACsubstation comprehensive automation reformation, the use of new automation technology,computer technology and communication technology and other high-tech has become thetechnical renovation of power grid the important content, which is conducive to theimprovement of substation operation management pattern, improve the level of automation ofthe equipment, to further consolidate the basis of safety production.In this paper, in order to run for more than16years of the" first station in"500kV Huizhousubstation as an example, elaborated the500kV substation comprehensive automation retrofittechnology application, construction method and safety control measures comprehensiveautomation reformation process occurs in a variety of situations, the key was discussed in theearly construction of substations in the use of new electrical equipment, computer technology,communication technology and application of integrated automation technology, and aimingat the existing problems in transformation process was analyzed, and further in-depthexploration and research.500kV AC substation integrated automation through technological transformation, theimprovement of the existing power equipment, update the existing relay protection,communication devices such as automation equipment, realized the station main equipmentautomatic monitoring, measuring, control, protection and telecontrol information transmission,improve the safe operation level of the station. The research on the existing power grid hasuniversality and practicality, the500kV AC substation integrated automation transforms thejob has important sense.
