Today's economic development is rapidly changing.The demand for electricity in various industries is increasing in China.The supply and demand of electricity is increasingly tense,in order to ensure the effective as well as continuous use of electricity,and continuously improve safety and reliability of the power network is imminent.At this stage,the voltage level of relay protection devices as well as measurement and control equipment have different degrees of damage,if not to improve will inevitably lead to immeasurable consequences.The problem of transforming old substation has become a top priority.It is conducive to improving automatic performance of the equipment,changing the old operation management mode,guaranteeing the safety of staff operation,and it is of indispensable significance.This paper takes Hayi substation as the prototype,combined with the experience of the intelligent reconstruction of Harbin area substation.The key links of the automation device and the relay protection equipment are reformed,then the matching design scheme is put forward,and the condition of the operation is evaluated.The main contents are included in this article:First of all,this paper is to illustrate the feasibility of its transformation.Based on the current situation of Hayi substation,it found that its monitoring scope is not comprehensive,and the regulation and operation is unstable.What is more,the protection of component aging also is a potential problem.Aimed at the integrated automation substation,digital substation,intelligent substation is comparing,it also comes from technical support,economic feasibility,operational management advantages.Finally,it unanimously concluded that the Hayi substation can be transformed.Secondly,from the above hidden dangers,it put forward the scheme to fit the actual situation.It covers the expansion of main electrical wiring,the addition of intelligent units to the primary voltage transformer,the addition of corresponding intelligent components to the relay protection and so on.It is a series of transformation methods and measures.Other issues found in the design process are also presented,which tries to make the design more comprehensive.It will site construction more handy,which is not to meet the accident causes panic.Finally,the main point of this design is intelligent,draw lessons from the experience of previous transformation cases,with relying on new technologies as a prerequisite for the implementation of the whole program.It is not only through the management of line loss rate,the rate of input of relay protection,the rate of operation and maintenance costs and other hard indicators to test the effectiveness of renovation,but also it is from the economic practicality andpower quality assessment of the comprehensive aspects of the discussion.The future development of the substation is prospected,the problems are such as the nonstandard device of application model,the cumbersome configuration of IED,long construction time,and slow commissioning and so on.It becomes the improvement emphases of the old substation in the future.
