Study On The Protection And Utilization Of The Ancient Water Towns

In the vast homeland of our country, there are many ancient towns that have distinctive style. Every ancient town is a special "living fossil"of human history that has a great geographical features of the natural environment and human environment. Water-ancient town is one important part of them.But for long time, The study of Water-ancient town in academia concentrated in the Yangtze River Delta region, the other regions have not been valued. Therefore, it is very helpful for the protection and utilization of this type of historical town by making a system research of Water-ancient town,finding their similarities and characteristics,analysing the difference characteristics of ancient water town in different regions.it is very helpful for the protection and utilization of this type of historical town.The "evaluation index system of Chinese historical and cultural town (village)",published by the National,focuses on the cultural values and protection measures of the ancient town,but lack of evaluation of its utilization.This paper establishes a comprehensive evaluation model of water geographical features, including the value characteristics, protective measures and utilization value.Provides a more comprehensive evaluation model of the value of the ancient town, and uses this model in the practical project. Finally, the conclusion can be used abroad in protection and utilization of ancient villages and towns which are the same type of Water-ancient town.The thesis is consists of six chapters. Chapter one gives a brief introduction about research background, current studies, the objects of study and research methodology. Chapter two gives a brief introduction about formation、ervolution of Water-ancient towns and regional characteristics. Chapter three analyze the basic characteristics of Water-ancient towns from the features of space images、material cultural heritage characteristics and Non-material cultural heritage characteristics. Chapter four establish a evaluation system for protection and utilization of Water-ancient towns,analyze their value and problems, and provide countermeasures.Chapter five takes Jinggang ancient town as a case study.The last part reaches a conclusion based on the whole thesis.
