As the key component of electrohydraulic proportional valve,proportional solenoid is themost used electricity-mechanical converter in electrohydraulic proportional valve.With therapid development of electro-hydraulic proportional technology,the performance requirementsof proportional solenoid are increasingly demanding for users,so it is particularly important toresearch the proportional solenoid.Based on consulting a number of reference data about electromagnet, the technicalrequirements,typical structure,working principle and classification and application in theproportional solenoid were detailed introduced in this paper.According to the method of themagnetic circuit analysis, the formation of the magnetic circuit of proportional solenoid wereanalyzed.According to the understanding and consulting reference data about the electromagnetictheoretical knowledge, the differential and integral form of maxwell’s equations,boundarycondition for ectromagnetic field, the energy of the magnetic field and magnetic fieldforce,were expounded.Combine ANSYS finite element analysis of electromagnetic field theory,the difference of the magnetic scalar method, the magnetic vector method and the edge elementmethod in electromagnetic field finite element method were detailed introduced, the applicationrange of the electromagnetic field analysis unit and electromagnetic macro were listed. In3delectromagnetic field magnetic scalar methods as an example,the basic steps such as creatingphysical environment,buildinging model,entrustsing with characteristics, meshing, solvingcalculation and viewing results were detailed described.As the proportional solenoid for the research object,take advantage of the Solidworkssoftware the3d model of proportional solenoid were built.Choose SOLID96and SOURC36asanalysis unit, take advantage of the magnetic scalar method,the magnetic field of proportionalsolenoid were researched and analyed, choosing DSP as the methods of solving the finiteelement model of proportional solenoid, the electromagnetic force were calculated.Take advantage of the building model, the structural,material and electric parameters of the3d model of proportional solenoid were changed, different model were analyed, the effect trendof output characteristics of proportional solenoid by the structural,material and electricparameters was studied.Compare the simulation results of proportional with the experimental results ofproportional solenoid, they are identical with each other. The simulation results indicate that themodeling of the proportional solenoid is correct, it can reflect the basic output characteristic ofproportional solenoid.
