The color sorter is a kind of optical-electronic-machinery integrationequipment, which can distinguish and remove the impurities and nonconformingproducts. By using the color sorter, it could reduce the labor cost of selection, implement the automation production, improve the efficiency of production and thelevel of the products’ quality, and gain great economic benefit. The sorter systemfor the production of seaweed products is researched in this paper. The high-speedCCD image acquisition system and the human-machine interaction system betweenMCU and touch screen are designed and described in detail. This paper describes the working principle of the sorter system. Aphotoelectric detection system is designed, which is based on Cyclone IIIEP3C5E144FPGA and high rate linear CCD IL-P3-B. The seaweed products on theconveyor belt are scanned for product images by the CCD sensors. On the basis of the analysis of CCD drive timing, the CCD drive timing isdesigned by using FPGA. Using the platform of Quartus II, it has completed thesimulation, synthesis, implementation and configuration download. Theexperimental results verify the output of CCD drive signal stability and timingwaveforms are displayed. The communication circuit between the STC89C51MCU and the WEINVIEWtouch screen is designed. Using the platform of Keil C software, the software ofcommunication between MCU and touch screen is programmed. The programimplements the RS-232serial communications connection between STC MCU andtouch screen based on the Modbus communication protocol. By using touch screenconfiguration software Easy Builder8000, the human-machine interface is designed, improving the performance of human-machine interaction. The circuit schematic diagrams are drawn and printed circuit boards (PCB) areproduced. Using Quartus II and Keil C software, the software is debugged and thehardware circuit is tested. The results meet the requirements. Finally, combinedwith the study and design of the system, the system’s design and the problems aresummarized, which can provide some experiences for further research. |
