Simulation Optimization, which is a key technology to realize a changing fromtraditional manufacturing to forecast and science manufacturing, has been appliedto the modern manufacturing industry more and more widely. It has more obviousadvantages especially on the application of some complex automation workshop, because it not only greatly saves the production resources, but also optimizes theproduction system layout, improves productivity and enhances the competitivenessof the enterprises. Therefore, this paper discusses and analyzes modeling andsimulation optimization of the logistics system of workshop in which a mixerworkshop was given as an example. In this paper, the Quest software is used as a platform to study the modelingand simulating of the logistics system of workshop. Models are the basis of thesimulation optimization. This paper first carries on the models to the mixerworkshop’s objects, including physical models and logic models. In order toimprove the fidelity of the model, and let the model running fluently in the Quest, the model should be made necessary simplification and processing. Then, thelogistics model about the mixer workshop is simulated in the initial conditions andthe problems of the bottleneck and lopsided of the production line are found byanalyzing the simulation data. After that we can give some new schemes onoptimization for further simulation and optimization. Quest software can be used totest various parameters, such as layout, resource allocation and other alternative. Soit can ensure that the entire product design process is one of the best productionprocesses in the actual design before investment. Finally, an ideal solution is got.
