Study On The Integration Between Xiamen Railway Passenger Station Reconstruct And Urban Traffic

Transport is one of the basic functions of urban development, and also a drivingforce of it. Xiamen is one of the Special Economic Zone. In recent years, as thepopulation densities increase and improvement of people’s living standards, urbantraffic conditions of Xiamen is in very tense situation. Total vehicle continues to growto enormous pressure on urban road traffic, reflecting the urban transportationplanning, such as small scale, single level, and many other issues. Xiamen railwaystation is located in the city centre, as a major urban transportation hubs, assume thetask of coordination of urban transport integrated to form an integrated transportsystem of the city, to improve transport efficiency, provide facilities for urban trips,promoting socio-economic development of the city, is that we must think about theproblem.As a fast, coverage and traffic means of transportation, railway transit guides anddrives the city space around, business circle, land development and constructioncapabilities. Railway station transportation hub appears with its land intensive use,highly developed, a variety of elements full integration features,better done on urbanspatial planning, transport integration guiding. Looking at the urban construction ofrailway comprehensive passenger transportation, integrated hub of pluralism,networking has become the development trend of railway station. There are somecompleted train station transportation hub problems, such as some railway station isfar from the design of space evolves around traffic, or not taken into account andtrack traffic linking of sites which cause traffic jams clogged. Under the tendercy ofthe construction of the comprehensive passenger transportation, space environmentand land-use situation is not optimistic. How various combinations of trafficconversion on the deep level of urban space model to adapt to the development andhow rail traffic patterns to strengthen the system construction of City Center, ishighlighting the contradiction of present city construction.Train station transportation hub planning is also the planning for the centralsystem of urban transportation. In light of the characteristics of urban transportation, how to work out a reasonable and effective railway station plan to improve the urbantraffic and promote regional development is the purpose of this study.The point of this article is to explore the road planning, regional planning andpassenger planning of Xiamen railway station reconstruction. according to theirpopulation size, the development of models,we will discuss how to build asustainable urban integrated transport hub, how to intergrate the urban transport andthe comprehensive transportation,then give some reasonable comments andsuggestions.
