Hydraulic transmission drive mode is widely used in modern engineering, and thehydraulic cylinder is the most important implementation of the components of thehydraulic drive system, which can convert hydraulic energy into mechanical energy inorder to achieve linear reciprocating movement. Especially the servo hydraulic cylinder,because of its fast response, high control accuracy, big resistance to load stiffness, highoutput power, has unique advantages in the hydraulic industry. Therefore, cylinder is animportant part of the hydraulic system. And the performance of hydraulic cylinders oftendirectly determines the performance of the machinery. The performance of Hydrauliccylinder always determines the whole hydraulic system performance, so the performancetesting of the hydraulic cylinder has a very important significance. Hydraulic cylinder testbench is key equipment to test performance and quality of the hydraulic cylinder, and alsocritical factor determining various performance indicators of the hydraulic cylinder. Atpresent, there are no unified standards and relevant regulations about test detection methodon servo hydraulic cylinder internationally. While domestic related research still need to beimproved, and the servo hydraulic cylinder test contents and methods need furtherthorough research and analysis.Based on reference of a large number of domestic and foreign literature, this papersummarizes, analyses and compares test content with test methods on Hydraulic cylinderand designs a servo hydraulic cylinder test system which designs and selects theparameters of the key component to improve the current servo Hydraulic cylinder testsystem via the functional analysis.Next, according to the designed system, the paper builds a mathematic model of thesymmetrical valve controlled asymmetrical hydraulic cylinder system, calculates therelevant parameters, and estimates some of the performance indicators of the system,which lays the theoretical foundation for the subsequent simulation. Finally, we can see various performance indicators of the system more intuitive andclearly through the use of MATLAB simulation software to simulate the system. While thesimulation results show the good performance of the designed system, which can meet thework requirements well.
