With the development of marine technology, the technical requirements of ship management personnel become more and more strict, improving the operation management capability of ship personnel has become the consensus of navigation circles. Marine auxiliary boiler is one of the important auxiliary engine and earliest automation control equipment. How to operate safe and effective marine auxiliary boiler is very significance. Therefore, mathematical modeling and software simulation of marine auxiliary boiler system is very necessary.The mainly simulation object is5250series full container board of a fuel auxiliary boiler and a gas boiler in this paper. Firstly, the work process and dynamic characteristics of auxiliary boiler system are analyzed, introducing the composition of auxiliary boiler, listing the detailed technical parameters of auxiliary boiler. On the base of simplification and necessary assumptions, the marine auxiliary boiler is divided into combustion system, drum system, fuel oil heater system. Then according to the working principles of each system and each component, applying laws of mass conservation, energy conservation, momentum conservation and theories of thermodynamics, heat-transfer, fluid dynamics etc, the author establishes the mathematical model of marine auxiliary boiler system by using mixed mode method.Analysing the characteristics of auxiliary boiler control system, the tasks of control system are proposed, such as boiler water level control, boiler steam drum pressure and boiler fuel oil temperature. According to the established mathematical mode of marine auxiliary boiler, the PID control algorithm of boiler water level, boiler steam drum pressure and boiler fuel temperature are designed, carrying on the real-time simulation of joint control. The simulation results show that dynamic process are in accord with actual responsed process of auxiliary boiler, built the mathematical model is reasonable and effective. In order to improve the reliability and security of boiler water level control system, designing the cascade generalized predictive control of boiler water level.Combining with established mathematical mode and designed control algorithms, the main interface, water system interface, fuel system interface, steam system interface, control panel interface, curve interface and related component interfaces of auxiliary boiler simulation system are designed and developed by using VC++development language. The system real-time displays steam drum pressure, fuel oil temperature and water level, switch valve, knob and button can be operated, indicator light shows the corresponding working condition. Simulating actual operating conditions of auxiliary boiler, operating the auxiliary boiler simulation system, such as boiler water system operation, exhaust gas boiler heating operation, auxiliary boiler heating operation. The results show that system can reflect the real working condition of auxiliary boiler system and the actual dynamic process completely and realistically.
