The accelerating process of the global economic integration lead a higher frequency and grander scale trade between the countries. The continued prosperity of the shipping industry increasing demand spawned a thriving development of maritime colleges. In order to improve the ability of student to manipulate the ship equipment and deal with emergencies, the colleges and universities is develop a variety of hardware and software simulator of ship equipments. Compared with the hardware simulator, software has the advantages of low cost, high security, easy maintenance and many others, which attracts more and more attention. This paper, which combines the traditional software simulator and the Web technology with rapid development, aims to develop a training and simulation system research of the marine auxiliary boiler base on Web and explore the application of Web technology in simulation field.Firstly, through the study of the composition of marine auxiliary boiler system and the situation of connection between the parts, this paper draw the layout of marine auxiliary boiler system and component map by Fireworks. Then, according to the working principle of marine auxiliary boiler system and the actual working conditions, the mathematical model is established by the idea of modular division, which makes preparations for the GUI development of system.In order to obtain better dynamic effect of the system, the paper adopts the ASP as the system development framework. Firstly, the process of building the software platform and the key technologies involved in the process of system development are illustrated in detail. Then, the system design and interface development are described at length. First of all, the core part of simulation system is developed by the Web client technology. Then, the test system is developed by VBscript and Access.Lastly, the operation method of the system is introduced and the main functions of the system are tested. The final test results showed that the system not only has all functions of traditional software simulator, but also removes the restrictions of operation by time and place, which greatly increase the flexibility of student autonomous learning.
