Maritime transport is the main means of transport of foreign trade, while the port as a maritime cargo transport terminal or transfer station, as the world economic development, water transport, and increasing the volume of cargo transport ship large-scale development, a number of inbound and outbound ports waterway has become restricted port development "bottleneck." Navigable waterways of the harbor and saturation of capacity is particularly important to carry out related research helps Navigable full capacity, more scientifically harbor waterway planning and design. This paper summarizes the current capacity of the harbor channel and saturation through research methods and results, analysis of the current study, the shortcomings and deficiencies, the introduction of queuing theory analysis method waterway through the ability, then calculate saturation. This paper presents a new harbor waterway through capacity definition created based on queuing theory harbor channel traffic capacity calculation model, the process of entering and leaving the harbor the ship is modeled as inbound and outbound queuing system queuing system two systems, and were identified by M/M/c, M/D/c queuing model as entering or leaving the queuing system analysis model. Harbor channel traffic capacity is entering or leaving the queuing system will receive services in the number of ships, and then gives the saturation calculation methods and evaluation. The study analyzed the use of methods of Long kou Port, the main channel through capacity and saturation, has been the main channel of the port of Long kou saturation level, the conclusions for the planning and construction of Long kou Port, resource allocation, and the main channel of the renovation and expansion project to provide reference.
