Purpose: This paper is designed to explore the pathogenesis and the distribution ruleof syndrome of CAS in menopausal women. In addition, it is intended to perfect the dia-gnosis, therapy and prevention of CAS in menopausal women, aiming to play the advant-age of Traditional Chinese Medicine and explore the prevention of stoke. Methods: Afterclinically acquiring the information of the menopausal women patients with CAS,weanalyze the patient’s symptoms, medical history and related data by statistical methods, filter the risk factors of CAS, and preliminarily summary the pathogenesis and thedistribution rule of syndrome of CAS in menopausal women. Results:(1) The risk factorsof CAS,such as age, deficiency of estrogen, snoring sleep, salty, spice, passive smoking, obesity, history of hypertension, history of hyperlipidemia are main in menopausalwomen.(2) There is a remarkable difference in terms of the level of estrogen, snoringsleep, obesity, hypertension, hyperlipidemia and CAS between menopausal women andfertility period women.(3) In the early stage of menopause, heat-syndrome is dominant. With the prolonging of menopause year, the level of estrogen reduces, and yin deficiency ofliver and kidney is more significant. Conclusions: The pathogenesis of CAS in menopausalwomen can be summarized as deficiency of zang-fu organs and insufficiency of kidneyand liver, the disharmony between yin and yang, plengh-heat, stasis and pathogenicdampness, forming renying pulse accumulation. In terms of the distribution of syndrome ofCAS in menopausal women,heat-syndrome and yin deficiency of liver and kidney, are themain syndrome. In the early stage of menopause, heat-syndrome is dominant. With the prolonging of menopause year, the level of estrogen reduces, the degree of heat-syndromedecreases,yin deficiency of liver and kidney is more significant.
