Recently,because of the audio-visual-oral teaching is used in second languagelearning. The audio-visual-oral materials of Chinese as a Second language are moreand more important in Chinese texts. However, the audio-visual-oral teaching appearedlater than the others, the compiling of the audio-visual-oral materials lack authoritativetheory to be directed. Now, there are so many audio-visual-oral materials includinggood ones and bad ones in market. So we need the study of the audio-visual-oralmaterials.The paper chooses “Home with Kids”“Qinhuai People” and “Learning Chinesethrough Movies”, three audio-visual-oral textbooks for junior and senior students toresearch. The three textbooks have similar target, demand, object and rules. They alsohave differences in design, content and culture. So they can compare with each other.The thesis makes use of comparison, diagram, data statistic and description to study.We compare of the text, vocabulary, grammar annotations and practice about the threetextbooks carefully. And then summarize objective data, including the conclusion.Finding the advantage and disadvantage from the textbooks and putting forward thesuggestions to the audio-visual-oral materials.The thesis is composed of the following parts including:The first part illustrates the meaning, method, direction of the selected topic, andthe overview of the article about the Chinese.The second part, third part, fourth and fifth part are the study of the threeaudio-visual-oral textbooks for comparison about the Chinese. Including the structure,text, vocabulary, grammar annotations and practice about the three textbooks, wesummarize the writing condition. The text is compared in content and choice of the topic. The vocabulary is compared in quantity, rank and marks of the words. Thegrammar annotations are compared in quantity and content. The exercises arecompared in quantity and the design of the practice.The sixth part summarizes the result of the comparison about the three Chineseaudio-visual-oral textbooks. Expound the advantage and defect about the text,vocabulary, grammar annotations and exercises. Bring up the suggestion of theselection and arrangement about the Chinese of the audio-visual-oral materials. Thepaper is not perfect, and also has defects. We hope the paper is worth of reading andconsulting for writing the audio-visual-oral materials.
