Recently, a growing number of teachers and scholars attach great importance to Task-based teaching, meanwhile, journals about Task-based teaching appeal to our attentions too. Undoubtedly, Task-based teaching is coming into our class, and textbooks, under the direction of Task-based teaching, appear to us more often than before. In this way, it is essential to discuss Task-based teaching in the aspect of theories, especially under the circumstances of combining with teaching Chinese as foreign language (TCFL). Language teachers are supposed to create as many opportunities as possible for those learners, so that they can inspire the motives of the learners. This is the task of language teachers, furthermore, the final purpose of language teaching.This essay proves the feasibility of Task-based teaching in the field of TCFL, combining with the author’s own experience in teaching. Meanwhile, on the basis of deep study on tasks’design, evaluation, etc., a series of survey and practice on how to manage to introduce task-based teaching into TCFL have been fulfilled, and finally a set of relatively comprehensive, thorough, specific and effective teaching mode for TCFL has been formed and the comparatively feasible and practical combination of task-based teaching and spoken language teaching of TCFL has been achieved.
