Ancient Chinese Loanwords In Modern Vietnamese Research

Language development is following social development, the world economy is developingday by day, therefore the language skill needs to be rich and diversified vocabulary. To adapt agood presentation and communication skill, language user started loan-words from otherlanguages, which is being increasingly and more popularly nowaday, even which were borrowedbefore, local people do not know how to express directly these words’s meaning.Vietnames has borrowed many words from Chineses for a long time, many of them untilnow still be conserved their original ancient Chinese of meaning and pronunciation. When I wasin learning Chinese process, I found out that Vietnamese vocabulary borrowed a certain amountof ancient Chinese, because of interesting with this phenomenon so I want to take them as theobject of my thesis.The vocabulary in this thesis including many Chinese-Vietnamese that has collected fromViet Nam news paper, documents and Internet documeantary…, then found their means inVietnames dictionary, CIYUAN dictionary, and morden Chines dictionary. I have colected153words to contrast, classify, analysis and proof.Following three ways to compare the pretext of to Vietnamese residue of ancient Chineseand ancient Chinese vocabulary-based, the two objects classification has be limited. The ancientChinese vocabulary and moderrn Chinese-Vietnamese vocabulary are classified as: meaning arethe same, the meaning is different, fundamentally different three kinds. The following are:1.The first part: basically the same. This section is divided into three small portion of:①The ancientChinese, modern Chinese and Vietnamese of menaning are the same.②Vietnamese still retain thewords and meaning of the ancient Chinese, modern Chinese has been instead of other words.③Vietnamese still retain the ancient Chinese word but meaning in the modern Chinese word has bechanged.2.The second part: the same in different.3.The third part: three kinds are different.Although the Vietnamese has borrowed many words from the Chinese but still have somedifferent features of cultural between two countries. As a result from the phenomenon of " Chinese-originated, Vietnamese-created” that made theerror for the Chinese learner during studying process. From this comparison and analysis above Ihope that can support not only help learning Chinese to decrease misstake, but also improveawareness of language knowledge.
