A Report On The Translation Of Product Specification

This report represents the author’s internship in the Translation Department of Qingdao Ruihua Science and Technology Group in summer vacation from July to August,2011. Through Program Introduction, Program Analysis and Program Summary, the report introduces the overall internship in the company. In the first part, the author depicts the translation program in general. In Program Analysis part, the author analyzes the materials through the characteristics of language, discourse and sentences. In the third part of the report, the author summarizes the internship and provides two translating methods—literal translation and free translation. Also, the author demonstrates the resolution of the difficulty in the translation process. Then, by proofreading the translation, the author finds some mistakes. Through analyzing the mistakes, the author explains the reasons for the mistakes and corrects them. In the end, the author summarizes the limitations of the internship, illustrates some inspirations form the internship and makes some expectations.
