Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) is a teaching model which aims at cultivating students' ability of using language by fulfilling communicative tasks. Unlike most traditional language teaching patterns emphasizing on teaching language structure, TBLT can provide better context for activating learning process by creating tasks and has currently become a widely adopted language teaching model in foreign language teaching both at home and abroad.In recent years, accompanied with the carrying out of English Curriculum Standards, TBLT is widely used in the Primary English Classroom. Teachers and scholars in teaching Chinese as a foreign language also gradually launch a series of both theoretical and applied research of TBLT. In general however, existing research results are less, most are on the theoretical study, lacking of research on applying TBLT into Chinese Classroom, especially into overseas Chinese Classroom.With the deepening of Sino-Thailand relationship,'Chinese fever'is warming up continually in Thailand. The number of people to learn Chinese in Thailand is increasing dramatically every year. Chinese language is becoming a major foreign language like English in Thailand. To analyze carefully and design a classroom teaching model which is truly available for Thai students and can arouse their interest in learning Chinese, helping Thai students make a good knowledge of China and learn Chinese well, is a key task for every Chinese teacher teaching in Thailand. To make practice on applying TBLT into Chinese Classroom of Thailand and to learn from experience, may provide higher application value and enlightens to Chinese promotion in Thailand or even to the whole Chinese international promotion.Under the guidance of related theories about TBLT, The paper emphasizes on analyzing the possibilities of applying TBLT into Chinese Classroom of Thailand; Based on the survey of Thai students' Chinese learning needs, the paper introduces a concrete design of Task-based teaching model in Chinese Classroom of Thailand and describes the implementation process; At last, the paper analyzes advantages and difficulties of Task-based teaching model in Chinese Classroom of Thailand, and provides some suggestions on compiling Task-based syllabus and textbooks and how to train teachers teaching Chinese in Thailand.
