The Application Of Functional Equivalence In E-C Translation Of Financial Bestsellers

This paper employs Functional Equivalence to analyze some examples intranslating selected chapters from The High-Beta Rich. This paper first introducesNida’s equivalence translation theory and the characteristics of English FinancialBestsellers. Then it tries to apply the theory in translation practice. The paper choosesthree aspects—vocabulary, sentence and paragraph—to analyze the characteristics ofEnglish Financial Bestsellers and the ways to achieve equivalence. Lastly, it putsforward corresponding methods by quoting the examples in translation practice.
