The study of self evaluation has been the focus of the all the vocational psychologist and colleges or universities during the last decades. In order to help all the vocational colleges to know their students’ self evaluation characteristics and to provide the students a better development condition,This study aims to provides a measuring tool to explore higher vocational students’ self evaluation, and based on this scale to study the development of the higher vocational students’ self evaluation characteristic and according to these characteristics to put forward the corresponding education countermeasures.Based on open--ended questionnaire, interviews, and some concerned review, the article puts forward a theoretical hypothesis through the expert evaluation. The author designs the preliminary questionnaire of higher vocational-technical school students, and forms the formal scale based on previous study with reliability and validity tested out. In the study, we inspected the reliability and validity of the scale. The study investigated637college students from5colleges in Hunan province, and analyses the effect of gender, grade. By the factor allalysis of the data, we explore the inscape of college students’ self-evaluation scale, and probe into the developmental characterstic of the higher vocational students’ self evaluation.we discussed the higher vocational students’ self evaluation development characteristics, and put forward some effective how to improve methods and countermeasures of vocational students’ self evaluation level.The results of this study are as fellow:1.The self-evaluation scale for higher vocational students includes7factors which are the ability to self, self identity, moral self, psychological self, social self, interpersonal self and physiological self and which have a reasonable structure.2. The self-evaluation scale for higher vocational students has high reliability and fair validity. 3. Through the study of higher vocational students’self evaluation development status show that with the increase of the grade, the highervocational students’self evaluation of the total development trend is junior grade> grade two> one grade,which are increasing.4. Higher vocational students’self evaluation level in professional, sex and family factors affecting have a significant differences.5. Higher vocational students’self evaluation level in the national, whether they are the only children and the influence factors have no significant difference.
