As China is more increasingly engaged with other countries in various fields aroundthe world, translation services have seen more challenges with demands of rapidly growingmarkets. A team of well-organized translators are more favored than individuals inprocessing a great number of texts-to-be-translated in a short time. As for translationtraining facilities dedicated to talent that immediately meet market needs upon finishingtraining courses, this thesis believes that the notion of project management should bepromoted in translation training, in order to familiarize them with similar operations in realprojects in the future. This thesis builds on theories of project management and seekspossible ways to engage trainees in real translation assignments. An empirical study, thisthesis explores the necessity of adopting project management to translation training andproper application of relative models, in order to provide guidance for translation training. |
