| The philosophy of project management was originated during the World War ?.Effective project management helps ensure quality,save costs as well as guarantee the progress.In the present,the complex urgent translation projects in large scale result in the huge demand for translation project manager in market economy in a world featuring economic globalization.The project management has been more and more widely used in the society and been improved gradually in its theoretical foundation,leading to the theoretical research and application study and giving birth to lots of project management association and relevant guide.With the Project Management Body of Knowledge published by Project Management Institute of America in 2008 as the whole guiding line and the translation project in Solar Decathlon China 2018 taken as an example,this dissertation studies five key management domains including human resources,time,quality,communication and risk in the management practice of this translation project and gives a comprehensive evaluation of the translation service with the help of two questionnaires.It is shown in the results that the management practice of the five domains is interconnected and prevalent through the whole project.Besides,the clients and the translation project manager set higher requirements for communication management and risk management apart from insisting on group development and timely delivery of quality translation.It is manifested that the social demands for translator have become more and more diverse,which shall guide the educators to step up efforts to cultivate professional and multidisciplinary translators and interpreters.Translators and interpreters shall pay more attention to the existing change in translation and language service industry to make themselves more qualified in the society.Besides,researchers shall broaden their eyes and conduct interdisciplinary research to enable the translation studies to make a new step. |
