Firstly, the author introduced the research backgrounds, purposes, and meaningsof TCSL, the research contents and methods related to this paper. Based on theresearches on the audio-lingual, communicative and task based teachingmethods,the author provided an oral teaching method by improving the traditionalteaching methods in TCSL, the compound-type oral teaching method. And the authortook the “Greeting” in the textbook-design, providing teaching practices for thismethod.Based on the researches on the audio-lingual, communicative and task basedteaching methods,the author provided an oral teaching method by improving thetraditional teaching methods in TCSL, the compound-type oral teaching method.Based on the teaching practices, the author suggested to combine the traditionalteaching method with the audio and visual materials. It means in three aspects: firstly,to ask and answer questions based on the audio and visual materials in communication;secondly, the topics should centered on the audio and visual materials; thirdly, theforeign students should learn to play different roles set by the audio and visualmaterials.
