Chinese time words, as one kind of special words, is very important. Its use contained rich content:noun of time, adverbs of time. In the process of learning Chinese as a foreign language, the use of the time word is certain difficulty for foreign students. Because of the characteristic of the time word, the influence from the teachers and the students and the impact of the student’s native language, foreign students will produce a variety of bias in using time phrase. The bias contain two parts:bias on the time structure and bias on the grammar. Through analyzing those bias, we can find many teaching methods to avoid those bias in the process of teaching Chinese.The error students produce in using time words contain many aspects. At different stages, the error that students produce is different. Therefore, the division of the type of error as well as the reason is different at different stages. By using the method of comparative analysis and error analysis, we can know the reason and help students predict the error that they will produce. The teacher should focus on the knowledge that prone to error,。At the same time, according to the reason and the characteristic of the error, choose a more appropriate pedagogy.
