In such aoverall fast-pace society, people grow tired of numerous repeating information. They’rebeginning to expect high quality of visual identity design, and there’s more demand forinnovative forms. These factors all turn into fertile soil for development of dynamic logo design.Theoretic study of dynamic logo design theory is yet in its infancy in China and abroad.There is a lack of systematic research in this area, so this thesis is aiming at helping more peopleunderstand this current situation of dynamic logo design by analyzing its application and designmethods.This thesis has provided a clear definition of dynamic logo through analyzing a lot of actualdynamic logo design cases, in the meantime, it split dynamic logo into two sub-types. Then, witha large amount of actual cases as arguments, the author analyzed the design features of dynamiclogo through its shape, color, and font. The recognition,technical methods, and visualpsychology are also discussed. There are large differences between dynamic logo design and thetraditional. Expandable dynamic logo design focuses on the connection between individual logosin the whole system, and animated dynamic logo design focuses on the movement of logoingredients. The differences also lie in the color system and type forms. The purpose of dynamiclogo design research is guiding and inspiring. Then, the author analyzed the application statusthrough aspects of media support and clients’type of business. The technical support deals withsoftware, plug-in components, device, and media. In order to know the current status of dynamiclogo design taken in place, the author collated statistical data of designers who had taken outdynamic logo designs and clients who had already got dynamic logo design in use. The thesisends in the author’s own try of dynamic logo design.As a design form which has not been widely popularized, dynamic logo design has a broadspace for development. Its design forms can be continuously expanded by designers’innovations,which makes it more suitable for various types of business and changing environment. Itsapplication scale will also rise with public’s raising acceptance.
