As the modernization process of China accelerate ceaselessly,rural surplus labor flows to the city scale. But, because of theprogress of Chinese industrialization and urbanization is out of step,and the remain institutional constraints of the dual social structurein urban and rural areas, migrant workers who work in cities whilecan not take their children together, so there are a lot of childrenhave to stay in villages, we call them as left-behind children in ruralareas. As left-behind children in rural areas and their parents areseparated for such a long time, it creates many problems, and theeducational problems of the children are the most serious problemsin all, that seriously affect the impartial opportunity of education ofthe left-behind children in rural areas. Children are the future of ourmotherland, and also the important component of the infant,whether children can healthy development, it influences the futuredevelopment of motherland is well or not. So, the entire societymust pay more attention to the problems of left-behind children inrural areas, no matter the large numbers of left-behind children in rural areas or the serious problems exist in education, or thechildren’s healthy development.This thesis uses the research technique mainly is thequestionnaire the survey procedure, interview survey procedure,and the literature methodology, and this thesis interprets andexplains the problems of education of the left-behind children inrural areas by socialization theories and mallow’s hierarchy ofneeds, through statistical methods to analyze the status quo ofleft-behind children in rural areas, mainly include the basiccondition an the analysis of the problems of education of theleft-behind children in rural areas. This thesis try to find the cause ofthe problems of education of the left-behind children in rural areasfrom their families, schooles and the society, and then puts forwardrelative countermeasures.The thesis is divided into seven parts. First, it puts forward theproblem and discusses the significance the topic, defines theconcept of left-behind children in rural areas and education andcollects the relative datum. Second, this article in the second partmainly reviews the foreign and local scholars’researchachievement in the area of the education of the left-behind children.Third, it focuses on the research design, the research method andthe procedures of this thesis. In the fourth part, base on thequestionnaire, it describes the statuses of the left-behind children’sfamily lives and education. Fifth, this thesis analyzes the reasonscaused the left-behind children’s education problems from fouraspects. The sixth part puts forward the countermeasures for theproblems of the left-behind children’s education from the aspects of the families, schools and society, the government should advancethe household registration system reform, pay more attention to theeducation of the left-behind children. The parents must have a rightfamily value; fulfill the duty of family teaching. The schools shouldstrengthen the education of the left-behind children, andcontinuously up grade the education level.
