Acupoint Sticking Method In The Treatment Of Perennial Allergic Rhinitis Clinical Curative Effect Observation And Anti-inflammatory Mechanism Preliminary Study

Objective:To explore the therapeutic effect of acupuncture point stick applying in traditional Chinese medicine treating the PAR.To evaluate the first three days of each summer days the hottest.To explore the mechanism acupuncture point stick applying treating the PAR by the changes of the numbers of EOS in cavitas nasi irrigating solution and IL-12 in serum.Methods:ALL patients were assigned to the treat group and the contrasting group according the double blind and doubing simulation design.The treat group:no.1 pill and no.1 paste,the contrasting group:no.2 pill and no.2 paste.One half were treated in A time,the other in B time. A time was the first three days of each summer days the hottest. B time was the other time from May to September except A time. The symptoms between untreated, treated and 3 months later being treated Allergic Rhinitis patients,were estimated according to the diagnostic and therapeutic principles and recommended plan of Allergic rhinitis,which have been revised by Lanzhou Meeting in 2004.The changes of the EOS numbers were observed both in untreated and treated liquids;The contents of IL-12 in serum in three periods(before being treated,when the treatmengt being finished, and 3 months later being treated)were measured and compared respectively.Results:1. The symptoms, the number of EOS and IL-12 between treating group and contrasting group had no obvious difference before the treat finished immediately (p> 0.05).2. The total marks of the symptoms and the number of EOS of the treat group declined obviously, the number of and IL-12 of the treat group inclined obviously after the treat finished immediately and 3 months later, differences were statistically significant (p<0.05).3. The total marks of the symptoms and the number of EOS of the contrasting group declined obviously, the number of IL-12 of the contrasting group inclined obviously after the treat finished immediately and 3 months later, differences were statistically significant (p< 0.05).4. The differences of the three indexes were statistically insignificant between treating team and contrasting team after the treat finished immediately (p< 0.01).5. The total marks of the symptoms and the number of EOS of the treat group were lower than the contrasting group significantly (p< 0.01),the number of IL-12 of the treat group were lower than the contrasting group significantly (p< 0.01), after the treat finished 3 months later.6. The differences of the total marks of the symptoms were statistically insignificant (p> 0.05).Conclusion:the 1st,the curative effect of the method of acupuncture point stick applying is confirmed again and further,by valucating and assessing the symptoms after treated and there is no significance whether the weather is in hot summer days or not.The 2nd, the mechanism and path of the method of acupuncture point stick applying to Allergic Rhinitis are further founded out and announced to the public,from the molecular biology and pathology angle,after the research of EOS from the nasal cavity irrigating solution and the IL-12 in the serum.
