Systematic study of a language needs the cultural learning, so as the communicative competence. It is obvious that language closely relates to the culture. Comparatively, the Chinese language contains so many Chinese cultural elements, because of the features of Chinese itself and characteristics. Consequently, the communication of cultures is the very important aspect of the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language. However, there are different forms of cultural teaching. For the full-time regular Chinese learners, daily study of cultures is the main form of Chinese cultural learning. Therefore, we need to research and study on the proper teaching organization of Chinese cultural classes, in order to increase the class efficiency.In this paper, the importance of cultural element is stressed through the statement of the relationship of culture and language; then, it is explained that the meaning of Chinese culture to the teaching of Chinese. In the next part, some features of Chinese culture are briefly introduced, taking chopsticks as an example. Through the teaching experience in School of International Cultural Exchange (Northwest University), the common problems in cultural class are summed up, respectively from three parts--notes on the blackboard, questions, and homework, while the solutions on these problems given. Ultimately, a whole lesson plan on the theme "chopsticks" is shown.
