Coping strategy is an important intermediary between the environmental stress and mental health. Teenagers in a special stage in adolescence, will face a lot of stress from the physical, psychological and social events. Previous research shows that adolescents universal experience a high stress levels. When adolescents face the stress, what coping strategy he/she choose, will directly impact on the physical and mental health and adulthood way to deal with the stress. To some extent, self-efficacy can represent a man’s confidence and self-esteem and their assessment is positive or negative. The individual’s self-efficacy have a great impact on one’s behavior choice, judging to pay how much effort and endurance, thinking mode and emotional response pattern, the attribution mode and coping mode. And the family is the basic cell of society, for many years, it is also the hot topic of different subject experts. For the teenagers who spent most of the time in the family, the family have special meaning with one’s psychological development, and, teenagers sets the stage of individual life of the mental health foundation. Many psychologists think that, the effects of the family faction directly affect the level of individual’s mental and physical health and emotional problems. The individual social adaptation level is difficult to surpass the family of function level. In view of this, this research use teenagers as the research object, to discusses the relationship between the family function, the coping strategy and self-efficacy.The research tools are Family Assessment Device(FAD), middle school students’ coping mode scale and General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES).The research subjects are345teenagers from two different school(key and ordinary), and from second grade to senior grade two. the results of the study are as follows:(1) Teenagers’ family functions and self-efficacy are all in the medium level; When teenagers face the general stress events, the most coping strategy be used is he problem solving and fantasy, the second coping strategy is seeking for help and rationalize, the less is self-accusation and retreating.(2) There is significant differentce in Teenagers’family functions between sex, grade, and school. The specific condition is:in the communication, the girl is obviously better than boys; in the Teenagers’ family functions, the junior school students are better than the high school students in the emotional intervention, emotional reaction, communication and behavior control; the Key middle school students are poor than normal school students in problem solving, emotional intervention and behavior control.(3) There is no significant differentce in Teenagers’self-efficacy betweent gender, grade and of the interaction between the genders and grades; But, Teenagers’ self-efficacy have very significant difference in the school, the specific performance in: key middle school students’ self-efficacy score is lower than normal school students averagely.(4) There is a significant correlation in all of dimensions of Teenagers’family functions, coping mode, and the general self-efficacy.(5) The roles of family and the Affective Involvement, the general self-efficacy can predict the immature coping strategy which the Teenagers taken to some degree.(6) Teenagers’ family functions can directly affect its coping strategy, also can indirectly through the self-efficacy to influence c coping strategy.
