| Chinese characters are the carrier of the Chinese language. Therefore, Chinese character teaching plays a pivotal role in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language. It has always been an extremely common problem that Chinese character is difficult to teach and to learn. However, with the rapid development of modern information technology, the modern teaching methods continue to emerge, which brings the new methods and perspective of Chinese teaching. This thesis takes teaching Chinese characters as a starting point, to explore the effective application of the modern teaching methods, further to contrast the advantages and disadvantages of traditional and modern teaching methods. Through the cases analysis, ie explores and innovates the useful teaching models, to resolve the problems of teaching Chinese characters better, moreover, to look into the future of Chinese character teaching for foreigners.Firstly, the thesis defines the concept of modern teaching methods, provides an overview of modern teaching methods, which is used in the Chinese character teaching,describes the theoretical basis of modern teaching methods that use in the Chinese character teaching, talking about the significance of the topic, the methods and innovations of this research; it compares the advantages and disadvantages of traditional and modern teaching methods, and discusses the balance of the two methods;it focuses on the application of the modern teaching methods in the Chinese character teaching, and then adds three methods of modern educational technology-assisted in the Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language;Lastly, it takes Chinese character learning machine as the main teaching methods, conducts cases analysis with a conclusion on the strengths and deficiencies of using Chinese characters learning machine through summarizing and evaluating the results of the analysis. Furthermore, it also proposes some solutions which aim to enrich the theory of Chinese character teaching. |
