The turn of the century, the international psychology research created a new wave-positive psychology.Positive psychology advocated psychology should study positive psychology quality of human,and pad an attention to health and happiness of human.Gratitude as a important emerging research field of positive psychology, was more worthy comprehensively and thoroughly studying.The purpose of this study was that to probe into the relationship between the High school students’sense of gratitude,the general demographic variable,personality chara-cteristics and their parents’ way of fostering. According to the results of other research-ers and interviews, I edited the questionnaire:gratitude of high school students,and re-vised it on the basis of prediction.After that, I used the cluster sampling method to sel-ecte randomly320students of a senior high school in Nanjing city, and280students of a senior high school in Mingguang city as subjects.They were measured by "the qu-estionnaire of the high school students’ gratitude","NEO-FFI" and "s-EMBU-C".Then I used Spssl1.0statistical analysis software to analysis data.The results showed that:1.the questionnaire of the high school students’gratitude had good reliability and validity, its psychometric indicators had reached a satisfactor-y standard.2.The overall status of the high school students’sense of gratitude was all r-ight.3.There were obvious differences among the difference high school students’sen-se of gratitude:the female students and male students,the students of different grades, the students in MingGuang and the students in NanJing, the students of their fathers a-live and the students of their fathers dead, the students of their parents not divorced a-nd the students of their parents divorced,the students of their parents having different cultural levels.4.There were a significant positive correlation between the high school students’sense of gratitude, extraversion, agreeableness, open-minded nature,and sen-se of responsibility.The high school students’ sense of gratitude had a significant nega-tive correlation with emotionality.5.The high school students’sense of gratitude had a significant positive correlation with father’s emotional care and understanding, a sign-ificant negative correlation with father’s refusal and denial.6.The high school student-s’sense of gratitude had a significant positive correlation with mother’s emotional car-e and understanding, a significant negative correlation with mother’s refusal and deni-al and mother’s over interference and protection.Conclusion:the high school students’sense of gratitude was influenced by their p- ersonality characteristics and their parents" way of fostering.The personality characteristics and family breeding way were vital factors influen-cing consciousness of senior high school students’gratitude.Therefore,we could impr-ove the level of gratitude of senior high school students by interventing family educat-ion, interacting with school and developing a strong personality of students.
