Prison Police Career Motivation Scale Revised And Related Research

Prison police is a special vocational group, whose career development attracts more and more attention in rencent years.Career motivation is the application of motivation in career,which play an important role on career choice,career commitment, career plateau, and career success.This research focuse on the status of Prison police’s career motivation and the effect on the job satisfaction.Based on the previous studies of career motivation at home and abroad,310prison police of jiang su province have been selected to finish the corresponding questionnaires, which revised of the abroad sacle.Results were as follows:1. Career motivation contains three factors:career resilience, career identity and career insight.2. The revised career motivation questionnaire has high alpha reliability0.876.Three factors are not only independent but also correlate moderately, which shows that the construct validity of the scale is reasonable.3. The total score of prison police’s career motivation is above average, among which the score of career insight is the highest, followed by career resilience, and career identity is the lowest.4. Significant differences of prison police’s career motivation were found on the four variables of gender, only children, family residence and age, but no significant differences on family income and position.5. There are significant positive correlations between prison police’s career motivation and job satisfaction. Career motivation can positively predict job satisfaction.Extraversion, career resilience and career identity can positively predict external job satisfaction and general job satisfaction, career insight can positively predict inner job satisfaction and general job satisfaction.
