Influenced by city philosophy and way of life,and in order to enjoy the same rights as urban residents, they not only actively seek theirown economic, social interests, but also want to have their own "voice" in the city, toexpress their feelings, therefore, the desire of political participation is growing strongly.Due to the constraints of China’s urban and rural dual system, the new generation ofmigrant workers are excluded from political life, they are unable to express theaspirations of their own legitimate interests, the variety of interests cannot beguaranteed, in the urban society "silent class" and passive "political groups". This articleuse the perspective of sociology, social psychology and other disciplines, based on thetheoretical perspective of social exclusion analysis of the political participation of thenew generation of migrant workers, and propose specific measures to promote thepolitical participation of the new generation of migrant workers.The full text is divided into four parts: Part I: rises the background and significanceof this writing, the status and characteristics of the new generation of migrant workers,the analysis of the public, and political participation of the relevant literature review,also includes the theoretical perspectives and approaches of this study as well asmigrant workers, the new generation migrant workers, political participation and severalkey concepts are defined.Part II: through survey and investigated the current generationof migrant workers’ Participation in Politics. Including the awareness of basic politicalknowledge cognitive, political participation in activities perceived value, etc.; politicalparticipation, attitudes, and political characteristics of interest, political participation,efficacy, political trust in government; political involved in behavior, the degree ofelectoral participation, other types of political participation and non-institutionalizedpolitical participation.Part III: the constraints of the political participation of the newgeneration of migrant workers based on research from the institutional, legal, social, aswell as their factors.Part IV: the constraints that exist in the political participation of thenew generation of migrant workers from the system of legal protection, social security,the new generation of migrant workers and other major aspects of proposed specific ways to promote the political participation of the contemporary generation of migrantworkers.
