Government Public Management Research In Rural Tourism Development

Dramatic changes have taken place in rural tourism which as a new tour since it appeared in our country in the1980s. Though it’s still in its market development stage and its industrialized operation still in the primary stage, the rural tourism has been showing its power in increasing the employment opportunities, promoting the economic development and balancing development in urban and rural areas.Throughout our country in the development process, rural tourism as a new product, its development relies on all levels of government policy and guidance. Therefore, combining public management functions in the development of rural tourism has becoming a very important subject for the government.This article taking multiple perspectives in government economics, public administration, tourism and industrial economic theories and with qualitative research methods, empirical research, theoretical analysis and empirical research methods to implement comprehensive research in the rural tourism development in the management of the government function and behavior mechanisms. Putting forward the concept of the rural tourism; analyzing the rural tourism development and the balanced urban and rural development and construction of the new countryside relationship; putting forward the importance of the public administration functions by the government in our rural tourism development; setting up the government public management mechanism in the rural tourism; through the research of public management mechanism in the development of rural tourism in Xiangtan city, putting forward specific proposals for the establishment of government public management system in Xiangtan city.
