Approach To Credibility Of Government Micro-blog

The article discussed the problem of government micro-blog’s credibility and the problem of the extent of information issue under public emergencies. It also discussed the experiences and countermeasures of how to enhance the credibility when those emergency situations happen.First of all, the article arranged the develop course of micro-blog, analyzed the reason why the governments chose a social media like micro-blog as their platform of information issue. And then, it created a brief analysis covers from the understanding of the definition of credibility to the influencing factors of government micro-blog’s credibility, as well as the reflection ways and spread effects of the credibility. Besides, the article stood from the separated points of view as public and the government, to discuss the choose problem of the government micro-blogs when the public emergencies happened. For under these emergency situations, some collisions would occur between the images of governments and the issue of information. Several cases would be studied for analyzing two roles government micro-blogs were acting under the situations of public emergencies-rumor disintegrator and sedative, for researching an effective way to balance the relationship between the image of government and the issue of information. Another focal point of the article would be the information choice problem of the public between the government micro-blogs and the grassroots media. The emergence of we-media pushed citizen journalists and opinion leaders onto the stage, which made the credibility of traditional media and governmental information less trustable. The transition of discourse power made the tendency of traditional media not always partial to the government. It would be safe to say that the information issue of we-media could test and supervise the credibility of government micro-blogs. Besides, the article also made a simple analysis on network politics, especially on micro-blog politics, which had played important roles under the background of Web2.0Times and its significance. Last but not the least, it summarized the experiences in dealing with public emergencies on the principle of enhancing the credibility of government. At the same time it discussed the problems and countermeasures.
