The Research On Government Pension Institutions

It becomes a matter of great urgency to find a way of supporting the grayingpopulation as the population ages. Limited by social values and the old-age careinstitutions, family support is the main way of supporting aging population nowadays.However, the support for old-age people has made families suffer hardship, and becomeextra burdens on them. The society is in duty bound to establish old-age care institutions toreduce the burdens on families. But the society faces a daunting array of problems at thisstage, including how to get the old-age care institutions fully accepted in society, and howto provide the old people with best services. Based on empirical research on the supply anddemand of the old-age care institutions in Sishui County, I analyzed the needs of localaging population from different aspects and levels. I have examined the local economy,population and the supply and service of old-age care institutions, and planned to dig outthe feasible method of developing old-age care institutions in counties. Lastly, based on thepush and pull theory, public goods theory and the study of institutions supply and demand,I found that ageing people prefer to live close with their children without living together.Therefore I proposed the thought of community-based old-age care institutions, whichwould increase the attractiveness of institutions as well as ease their children’s concerns.By reducing the distance between their living places, old-age care institutions could bedeveloped into family-orientated institutions. Moreover I identified the development routeof old-age care institution in the future based on my research.
