The Study Of Family Migration:Present Situation、Factors And Problems

The beginning of reform and opening, floating population present individual flow pattern in our country. With the rapid development of urbanization, population flow pattern has changed. The existing literature shows that, family migration has been an obvious trend of floating population. But the definition of the concept is not clear, so, this paper tried to discuss the topic at the beginning of this concept.Based on a series of theories such as New Classical Economics theory、 New Economics transfer theory, Life cycle theory, especially Family migration strategy theory, using data from the2012dynamic monitoring of floating population in Jiangsu Province, accepting the concept of "family migration", this paper measures the level of family migration through the construction of the index as "family flow rate" and "family integrity rate". Go a step further, this paper uses binary Logistic regression statistical method to explore the influencing factors on two index,and finds that, the factors are comprehensive, not only including the individual endowments, family situation, also including objective flow-related factors, as well as the subjective feelings floating population have in the inflow places.On the basis of the factors exploration, this paper analyzes the effect on family development for the reason that whether the family is integrated. The author thinks, on one hand, integrity flow has positive effects, such as improving living standard, promoting life satisfaction and reforming the family function; on the other hand, imperfect flow may cause social problems, for example, education of left-behind children, the protection of minors, separation of the couple and empty nester. Although these problems are "personal puzzles " or "family troubles", but to play "sociological imagination" proposed by Wright Mills, we can see that the problems are "social problems", which are closely related to the social system. The author thinks that the causes of these problems are mainly concentrated in the social policies, including the household registration system, education system, the labor market mechanism, housing policy. Make further efforts, this paper puts forward some suggestions for improvement.
