The concept of entrepreneurship education was raised by the Australian Doctor named Eliade in "Beijing International Symposium on Education for the21st Century", which was held by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in November1989.Dr. Eliade considered that entrepreneurship education is "the third passport" of learning and holds equally important position with academic education and vocational education. It is the introduction and research of entrepreneurship education that leads the inevitable researching and developing trend of Chinese undergraduate education. However, the current exploration of entrepreneurship education in China is mainly concentrated in the top universities rather than the local colleges. Local colleges play an important role in providing innovative talents for local economic development while the existing entrepreneurship education research has failed to effectively serve the high-quality local undergraduate education. Thus, the local undergraduate entrepreneurship education research is particularly urgent and necessary. In this paper, we focus on the current local undergraduate entrepreneurship education research and investigate in the following five local undergraduate aspects:entrepreneurial interests, attitude and entrepreneurial aspirations; entrepreneurial motivation and purpose; comprehensive quality required for entrepreneurship; difficulties as well as risk awareness in entrepreneurship and the evaluation of current situation in local undergraduate entrepreneurship education. All data is obtained through questionnaires and interviews from four hundred students in four local colleges in Jiangxi province.There are four sections in this paper.In Section I, we make a simple introduction for this paper, including the purpose as well as significance of this paper and the ideas as well as innovations in this research. By analyzing the grim undergraduate employment situation, we draw the conclusion that entrepreneurship is one of the Major initiatives in solving this problem, and leads to the key point of this paper, enhancing undergraduate entrepreneurship education. According to the huge proportion of local colleges, we propose that local undergraduate entrepreneurship education has more research space and innovation value.In Section Ⅱ, we introduce local undergraduate entrepreneurship education, including concepts of local colleges, entrepreneurship, entrepreneur and entrepreneurial education. By comparing different employment situations in domestic and overseas, we analyze the advantages and disadvantages of local college students in entrepreneurship and raise the urgent and necessary of enhancing undergraduate entrepreneurship education.In Section Ⅲ, we increase the persuasion of this paper by instances as well as questionnaires and draw the conclusion by analyzing the questionnaires about entrepreneurial awareness, entrepreneurial capacity, entrepreneurial mindset and entrepreneurial status. Furthermore, we find out the reason of college students’ employment difficult and entrepreneurship difficult, and provide basis in fact for develop local undergraduate entrepreneurship education.In Section Ⅳ, according to the situation of local undergraduate entrepreneurship, we propose measures to develop local undergraduate entrepreneurship education, which combine colleges, society and government, the students themselves and family together.
