| The education of Master of Science in Physical Education (MSPE)in colleges anduniversities are responsible for fostering applied physical talents and professional practical capacityis one of the comprehensive qualities that postgraduates of this degree should necessarily beequipped with. In order to meet the development of the times nowadays and to implement aneducation for all-round development of postgraduates in daily teaching, the postgraduate physicaleducation of professional degree should be geared to the insufficient practice of professionalcapacities, so as to fully prepare postgraduates in laying a solid foundation for challenges fromfuture careers. This thesis intends to explore training accesses of professional practical capacities offull-time postgraduates of physical professional degree, and by employing research methods ofliterature reviews, expert interviews, questionnaires, mathematical statistics and Delphi method, and with research respondents of sample postgraduates and teachers from Chengdu SportUniversity; Faculty of Physical Education, Ningbo University; Shanghai University of Sport;School of Sports and Health, East China Normal University; College of P.E and Sports, BeijingNormal University; Shandong Sport University; Physical Education College, Shanghai NormalUniversity; Shenyang Sport University; College of Physical Education, Southwest University andSchool of Physical Education and Sports, Soochow University, studies on the essence ofprofessional practical capacities and the constituent factors, social needs and the status quo, difference as well as training accesses are implemented in the present study. The research shows that professional practical capacity of full-time postgraduates ofprofessional degree is composed of practical motivation, the general practical capacity, and thespecialty capacity and the on-site practical capacity, among which the specialty application andinnovation capacity, and capacities to take up the responsibilities of physical education, sportstraining, judging, physical exercising, events organization and operation, and academic innovationare of particular importance. In this thesis, problems thereof in postgraduate education of physicalprofessional degree are brought to light from two perspectives, namely social needs and the statusquo of physical education in universities nowadays which are training objectives, educationalsystems, curriculum planning, credit systems, assessment systems and training accesses to be specific. The capacity to carry out physical teaching is still unsatisfactory in large, with overallweak teaching skills; besides poor academic innovation performance in P.E, professional practicalcapacities like event organizing, running, judging and sports exercising are in common ought to befurther improved. According to the present study, underlying reasons for problems above are dueto insufficient concern and attention to professional capacity training from the school faculty, andthe available accesses to professional capacities training are too narrow to meet the needs of everypostgraduate. Curriculums offered today should be planned more scientifically, and for dailyteaching, the teaching materials and teaching model are to be enriched, as well as valuationsystems are to be improved. As a result, this thesis provides with some tentative approachesaccordingly: Firstly, a proper teaching concept for fostering professional capacities should beestablished; Secondly, curriculum planning should be optimized in reference to the trainingobjectives; Thirdly,“Bi-tutor†mechanism is to be introduced into the training accesses; Fourthly, probation and internship systems are to be either set up or completed. Fifthly, social resources areto be tapped for cooperation between in and outside of the university in building practical trainingbases. Finally, a strict evaluation institution is to be adopted so as to make sure of the fulfillment oftraining objectives. Suggestions above is still far from satisfaction, can only be taken as futurereference both theoretically and practically for fostering physical professional talents, andoptimizing training quality in general. |
