The official launch of the new curricula reform has been carried out in full swing for 13years since 1999. As a programmatic document of the Chinese curriculum reform, the newcurricula have experienced a double test of time and practice for more than a decade. Lookingback to the reform and exploration made in the past decade, we have always kept an attitudeof reflection to survey the problems coming with the reform. As a great country with morethan five thousand years of civilization, poetry is undoubtedly one of the most brillianttreasures in the splendid civilization. As time goes on, the native culture has collided with thatof Western, and mass changes have token placed in the poetry teaching fields. As a result,beginning with the text of poetry, the author is committed in the unscramble problems in theinterpretation of poetry teaching to further explore and put forward countermeasures.The research of text interpretation in poetry teaching is extremely important to theresearch topic in the field of language subjects. As a part of the teaching in reading research, itshoulders the heavy burden of improving students’ reading and understanding ability.Especially after the new curriculum reformation, the teaching of reading has token up theimportant task of training students the abilities of creative and sentiment. Poetry has a uniqueaesthetic value in literature, because of its beautiful and implicit language, hazy mood andfar-reaching, compact and flexible structures. The so-called "Limited words have unlimitedmeanings" most embodies these characteristics of poetry. However, in today’s poetry teachingwhich has failed to digging out the beauty of poetry by the same text interpretation methodsof novels, essays and so on, which either can’t in-depth interpret the implication of the poetictext or just stopped at the directly interpretation of poetic text. The result is poetry teachinghas deviated from the right track and even exacerbated by the stress of College entranceexamination. Based this situation, this context is proposed to discuss the problems and find away to solve them.The first chapter makes a fully expedition of the text interpretation, and points out the problems in the present interpretation of the poetry text by analyzing the surface-towards,examination-towards and pattern-towards in the text interpretation, then demonstrates theimportance of text interpretation in the poetry teaching step by step. The second chapterbegins with the poetry text to understand the aestheticism of the poetry text, explore theambiguity of the poetry text and study the characteristic of the poetry interpretation bylooking out the imagery and understanding the openness of the poetry text. The third chaptertakes the present version of Chinese Language in junior high school published by People’sEducation Press, divides the poetry into several typical categories of which characteristics areanalyzed in detail then. According to the problems in first chapter, guiding by theory of thesecond chapter, and referring the quality characteristics of the third chapter, the forth chapterincorporates them into practice and proposes four strategies: reading, describing, interlocutionand sentiment, and then points out the concerns and focuses, provides a detailed reference tothe poetry teaching in depth.
