The Reasearch On The Status And Needs Of "Network Opeclass"For University Students

This research, mainly on the needs and the usage of the open courseware in the universities, has surveyed undergraduates whose major are Educational Technology. The research methods are questionnaire, statistical analysis, literature, we made the questionnaire named "The survey for the needs and the usage of the open courseware for college students", survey four universities including Nanjing normal university, we have received231questionnaires while219of them are valid, we use software such as Excel, spss to analyze the data we have.We have achieve conclusions as follows:"known dimension", the college students have a high level of knowledge on the open courseware, they learn them mainly through recommendation of their classmates, teachers, friends,"use dimension", college students use the open courseware often, while most of them think that the open courseware do a lot help to their self-development. They take the open courseware as to open their mind or broaden their knowledge, among the reasons they choose the open courseware, interests is the most influential factor, what is more, the attractiveness of the courseware and the charm of the professors are also play an important part in it."needs dimension",most students want to speed up the internet,access more materials other than videos, the content of the courseware should be link more to the daily life, more debates between the professors and the students on the content of courseware, the open courseware can have access to the curriculum system of college. In order to apply the open courseware more efficient, we make suggestions as follows:the universities should put more energy on publicity work, establish a dedicated website to bring all the courseware together, strengthen infrastructure construction, put more guidance on the training of the professors. Do the localization work. What is more, we should put more attention on these following works:update our concepts, the universities should do service to the society, update our teaching methods, intrigue the students’interesting, we should guarantee the quality of the videos, update the videos regularly, keep the attractiveness of the courseware, last but important, we should put more on the publicity work.
