Design And Development Of Personal Knowledge Management System

In the21st century, human comprehensive entered the era of knowledge economy, knowledge has become the first productive forces. With the development of the computer technology and Network technology, the knowledge is updating rapidly, the further research and practice of the personal knowledge management (PKM) which based on the concept of knowledge management (KM) is constantly. PKM is a management process, which includes identification, retrieval, storage, study, evaluation, application and innovation. PKM is an effective means to improve the personal competitive advantage.The goal of PKM is to improve the personal learning ability and innovation ability. The using effects of Personal knowledge management system (PKMS) will directly affect the implementation and progress of PKM. Therefore, developing a whole set of perfect and pertinent PKMS is very valuable. This paper based on the knowledge, knowledge management, personal knowledge management, six degrees of separation theory and constructivism learning theory and related theory, it considered from PKM category, implementation principle and personalized demand factors, it make with convenient operation, complete functions and easy to exchange as the reference standards. It is premise with grasping PKM essence and it follows the knowledge transformation principle for the purpose, and it manage the recessive knowledge as the center, and meanwhile, it combined with the characteristics and existing advantages and disadvantages of PKM. We design a PKMS which has the characteristics of distinctive feature, relatively complete function, suitable for individuals to implement.The system integrates various management process of PKM to achieve a good network of PKM, based on Web2.0environment, adopted B/S (Brower/Server) software system structure and integrated development environment Visual Studio2008with SQL Server as background database.
