Research On Rear Children’ After-School Life In The Rural Boarding School

According to a research towards rear children of rural boarding schools in Pingyao county of Shanxi province and Fengning county of Hebei province, we found that there’s a great need of guidance about the understandings of after-school life among some of the rear children in rural boarding schools. The current status of the after-school life in those schools lays as disorderly, unorganized, non-regulations and unplanned, thus it is impossible for them to form systematic experience. Therefore, we need to take some action from the following three levels:First of all, from the national level, we need to steadily impel the reform of college entrance examination system, guarantee the increase in educational invest, promote the balanced development of rural and urban compulsory education and implement the policy of putting teachers in special post, at the same time improve their salary. Secondly, from local educational administrative bodies’level, it is really necessary to strengthen the publicity concerning rear children of rural boarding schools, specific the institution which is in charge of students’after-school life, reinforce the guidance and inspection towards after-school life of rural boarding schools, set up a system of training and communication about after-school life management, increase educational invest, attract donations from the society, improve the hardware condition of rural boarding schools, add the authorized strength of teachers, improve treatment of teachers, make deep readjustment on rural school arrangement, properly arrange the free campus, establish the assess and incentive system about students’after-school life, organize various kinds of competition concerning activities and festivals and give wide publicity to those who are outstanding. Last but not least, from the school’s level, it is highly needed to formulate rules and regulations on students’after-school life, upgrade the quality of teaching, ease students’academic burden, conduct ideological and habit-develop education of students’after-school life, innovate the method of organization, actively mobilize all teachers and students, excavate resources about after-school life, organize all kinds of activities on festivals, provide a stage for extracurricular activity show, timely summarize, evaluate, publicize and encourage those activities that have completed, take good measures on security of after-school life in school, strengthen communications between parents and the school, or put it another way as build a parent school.
