The adolescence is an important period when a man’s mind andbody grows up and world view gradually forms. They are curious andflexible, so it’s the best time to carry astronomical science education forthem. Recently, the new discoveries of international astronomical emergein endlessly; our China’s aerospace also continuously impacts space andforms one milestone after another that brings much opportunity for ourastronomy. The astronomy’s development and popularization in onecountry and nationality has very important influence on improvement ofnation’s quality and the progress of culture and science. Astronomicalscience training is not only necessary to replenish astronomy basicknowledge, as one of the six basic subjects, but also one important basisof astronomical sustainable development. By planning and carrying outthe astronomical science education in the Middle and primary schooleducation quality comprehensive practice base, the school students canget more astronomical education. Because of the astronomy’s abstractness,the difficulty of spherical observability and inaccessibility, the applicationof multimedia technology has incomparable advantage.Information technology has changed people’s understanding ofspace, time and knowledge. Its general application will fully unearthhuman’s intellectual resources, and will catalyze and redouble the exertion of all kinds of production factors’(including energy sources andmaterial resources) efficiency.The training of popularization of astronomy has special role indeveloping students’exploration ability, practical ability and innovationability. On the basis of analyzing the existing problems in the training ofpopularization of astronomy by questionnaire, this paper analyzesinternetwork, virtualization technology and other informationtechnology’s function in the training of popularization of astronomy. Itchooses suitable training content, and formulates a solution for more thanone class time of how to apply the information technology in highschool’s astronomy popularization.This paper contains five sections:The First Section Introduction ,It introduces the research project’sbackground, and significance, the research status at home and abroad, theexisting problems in high school’s astronomy popularization, the researchproject’s contents and methods.The Second Section The rationale of information technology’sapplication in astronomy popularization ,It introduces the definition ofthis project’s conception, and the referring constructivism,cooperativeteaching,behaviorism and the theory of multiple intelligences.The Third Section The survey and analysis on high school’s popularscience education in Zhangdian District, Zibo City. The Fourth Section Information technology’s application in thepopular astronomical activities in junior high school, It discussesinformation technology’s effects in visual pattern and visual illustration.In addition, it also discusses the effects of stellarium software, GoogleEarth, virtualization technology, Internet in the popular astronomicalactivities.The Fifth Section Classroom teaching plan of how to applyinformation technology in the popular astronomical activities in juniorhigh school, It is the main body of this paper. It makes a classroomteaching plan of how to apply information technology in the popularastronomical activities, and analyses the carryover effect.The sixth Section Conclusions and Outlook discusses the subject ofthe conclusion, Problems and Prospects...
