With the development of the times, it has become a trend of education reformin China on cultivating students’ comprehensive quality and creative talents. Theastronomical education plays an immeasurable role on that, and it is gaining moreand more attention from the schools. For now, domestic astronomical knowledge ofmiddle school mainly present in geography and physics, but it is mainly reflected inthe finite sections of middle school geography. In the background of our country’snew curriculum reform of basic education, it is an obligation of the middle schoolgeography teacher on how to carry out astronomical knowledge content of middleschool geography teaching more effectively and how to motivate students’ interestin exploring astronomy in limited sections and time and training the high-qualityastronomical talents for the country.The purpose of this paper is to apply the astronomical software of theinformation technology combined with the subject characteristics for an openteaching, to overcome some of the difficulties and problems existing in thetraditional middle school teaching of astronomy,to provide the students an openlearning environment for independent inquiry, to enrich the students’ knowledge ofastronomy, to make the students experience the passion of exploring the universeand to stimulate the initiative of students, cultivating the students’ lifelong learningawareness and habits, help students to set up correct world viewand dialecticalmaterialism world outlook, learn to see things objectively, scientifically analysis.This paper is mainly based on consulting a large number of related literature anda large number of actual research, starting from the importance andpresentcondition analysis of astronomical education of middle school, the paper discussesthe necessity and feasibility of middle school teaching based on the astronomicalsoftware, and designs two cases to verify its application. Through the analysis of thefeedback of learning, it shows that the astronomical software can really play a goodauxiliary effect to the middle school teaching of astronomy, while there are stillsome problems, and it provide important enlightenments and references for betterapplication in the astronomical teaching of middle school.The innovations of this article:(1) The innovation of research subjects. For now, the application of the astronomical software in middle school astronomical teaching of our country can besaid is still in the initial stage, while forthe research subject of “the application ofastronomical software in middle school astronomical teaching”, there is no relevantresearch, and it is the first topic of the master paper in our countrywith theastronomical education of middle school as research subjects.(2) The innovation of research perspective. Based on a lot of research work asthe supporting point, grounded on the astronomical knowledge involved ingeography discipline as a point penetration, the paper discusses and summaries theapplication of astronomical software in astronomical education of middle school,holds the opinion that the application of astronomical software is an importantmeans to innovate middle school astronomical teaching.
