An Empirical Investigation Of "Ant Tribe" Integration In Urban

The emergence of "ant tribe" groups is closely related withChinese education industrialization development, the polarizationbetween city and countryside, industry development policy andlarge regional development difference. How to provide good livingand working conditions for "ant tribe" so as to promote them blendin the local society healthily and smoothly, it is not only related tothe benign circulation of our country talent, more related to thesocial stable development. The purpose of this study aims atanalyzing the characteristics and differences for "ant tribe" ofdimensions in the city of economy, politic, culture, psychology andthe causes of these differences through surveys and interviews forlearning about their working and living conditions, integrationcondition into the city, then put forward to the feasible proposals toresolve the problems of "ant tribe" in integration into the city.The full text divides into four parts; the first part introduces theconcept of "ant tribe", the relevant research in recent years and thebackground and significance of research. The second part is aboutthe investigation and interviews of their working and living situation, as well as the integration situation into the city through 238questionnaires. The third part analyzes obstacles of theirintegration into the city, including three aspects: (1) Urban-ruraldual structure with the household registration system as the core;(2) The Local selfish departmentalism of local government andresidents; (3) Inadequate adaptation ability of "ant tribe", theintegrated quality to be improved. The fourth part puts forward tothe feasible suggestions to dissolve the problems existing in theirintegration into the city: first, the national attention and support ofthe national policy; secondly, promoting the reform of universityeducation system; finally, "ant tribe" improve their comprehensivequality depend on their own efforts.The innovation of this study lies in its new topic, the previousstudies pay more attention to the survival condition of "ant tribe",but no relevant studies about their integration into the city, whilethe research of the floating population city integration mostlyconcern with migrant workers groups, very little attention about"ant tribe". This study through a questionnaire survey not onlycollects and analyzes their basic information and living, workingconditions, but also investigate the integration situation of "anttribe" from four dimensions including their social integration,political integration, cultural integration and psychologicalintegration. Analyze the city integration problems of "ant tribe" andthe reasons for these problems through in-depth interview. Becauseof subjective and objective conditions, the research object isrestricted to Beijing local "ant tribe" ghetto, sample can onlyrepresent part of the "ant tribe" situation in Beijing local area.
