Teaching objective is that students (the teaching activities ofthe subjects) achieve the standard of the expected results in thespecific teaching activities. It is the starting point of teaching, aswell as the final end of teaching. Teaching objectives are the furtherspecific course objectives. It is the fundamental basis of teachingguidance,teaching implementation and teaching evaluation.Teaching objective design is the first step of teaching design forclassroom, is also the most critical step. Scientific and rationaldesign of teaching objectives are important for effective teachingstrategies, and it is an important prerequisite for the effectivenessof classroom.Therefore, this article is to teachers on teaching objectivedesigns as a starting point, which is great significance and potential value for teachers ’ teaching objective design, designresearch and reflection. This study focused on rural chemistryteachers(National special training in 2011) for design of teachingobjectives, aimed at analysis of present situation of rural chemistryteachers teaching objective design. This research main concernson two specifical problems, as follows: (1) Understanding of thechemistry teachers in rural areas on the teaching objectives (2)Understanding of chemistry teachers in rural areas on the design ofteaching objectives.Taking the above questions as the guidance, the paper wasconducted by the method of literature review , the paper discussedthe theoretical research on teaching target, and teaching targetdesign, and chemical teaching target design both at home andabroad to lay foundation for this research; investigate the situationfor rural chemical teachers on teaching target design byquestionnaire ; understand rural chemical teachers is how to designthe teaching target and the idea and decision of designing teachingtarget by interview; know the problem on teaching targetexpression according to analyze teaching design of rural chemicalteachers.Finally we reach the major conclusion of the research:In General, teachers’ understanding for the objectives andteaching target design is at the low lever. Specifically:(1) understanding of the teaching objectives , teachers ignorethe position of teaching objectives in teaching ; the mistake is thatteaching purpose is equivalent to the teaching task ; ignoring the teaching objective design ; thinking target of three-dimensiontarget is to display affection ; while the teachers lack guidance.(2) In the design of teaching objectives, most teachers can onlyanswer a step in the teaching of the target design steps, and most ofthem is the first step; when the teachers design teaching objectives,they can only think of the analysis of specific course contentfeatures, refer to teaching reference books, excellent lessonplans,own lesson preparation and personal experience in the past,with little regard for the students ’cognitive level, the actualsituation of the students, the students’ needs and interests, andrarely refer to the curriculum standards, contact the social reality;neglect of objective decision making; design of the teachingobjectives and teaching process does not match, write the one hand,religion is the role of the other hand, did not play the guidance of theteaching objective measurement;teachers are concerned only withthe knowledge and skills,but neglect of the process and methods,attitudes and values;teachers consider generate target, do not payattention to the holistic principles and hierarchical principles; onthe representation of the teaching objectives, teachers are lack ofguidance of a scientific theory, When they design teachingobjectives, only reference on the teaching reference books, do nothave their own thinking, also do not take into account the actual orpossible.Teacher is the main body of teaching objectives , objectivestatement is vague, no clear explanation that students in whatconditions finish what learning requirement .
