With the development of the country, Information communication becomes more and more frequent. People’s life has changed, so do their mind. Physical and mental development of children in primary school is also critical. Their moral idea is being formed. The construction of the Socialist Core Value System must do a good job of primary school education. And the Chinese course has natural advantages of the value orientation function:on the one hand, language is the carrier of culture; on the other hand, the Chinese textbook is from the article. The article always reflects the author’s point of view and value orientation. Therefore, which articles and materials could be used by Chinese textbooks, also reflect a corresponding value orientation.As a primary Chinese textbook, PEP (People’s Education Press) has a longer history than others, mature and no geographical constraints. With more experience of advocating mainstream values, PEP is representative. Research is mainly from Literature and Content analysis. The Realization Patterns of the Value-Oriented Function divided into two aspects:carriers and methods. Carriers include article system, help-reading system, practice system. Examples from the knowledge points, the organization of the text exercises, and the presentation of the illustration all reflect a corresponding value orientation. Methods as Learning from Things, Model Demonstration, Situated Empathy, Guidance and Implication, Frequency to Emphasis and Discussed Clarification are the main part of the research. Learning from Things is to learn something not from somebody self but from some things-alike or things-related to arouse people’s sympathy. Model Demonstration is to refer to some kind of quality, or mind through image-building form the typical stories of models. Situated Empathy is to create a context by the narrative section of stories to express emotion to move people and convey the value proposition. Guidance and Implication is to convey the value proposition through the guidance and implication of the language. This method appears in the help-reading system such as guidance, introductions and questions. Frequency to Emphasis is a method of statistics. The higher rate of recurrence of it, the more important of it. Discussed Clarification means textbooks present a controversial issue with a neutral point to make students understand problems deeply by discussion, analysis and even the clarification of the value. These methods conform to the characteristics of the psychological development of primary school students. Interesting, operable, and combining a variety of forms.In the future, the PEP primary Chinese textbooks should be closer to the students’perspective and more concerned about the process of teaching and internalization effect, combined with more diverse forms. This will be more conducive to achieve the Value-Oriented Function.
