Qualification certificate to teachers,as a national professional authentication, is a milestone of progress and development of Chinese education.The qualification certification system has been established for over ten years. During the period, spiritual civilization developed along with boosting Chinese economy. Therefore, the requirements for professional quality of teachers are upgraded as well. The certification system can guarantee the qualification of pre-service teachers. The thesis mainly focused on certification to music teachers.It reviewed the history of certification system for music teachers in China and introduces the corresponding system of developed countries(US, Germany,Japan and Australia) so as to explore and research the expected qualification for Chinese music teachers. Finally,the author proposed some suggestions to Chinese certification system. The thesis are composed of four parts: Chapter One the general introduction of qualification certification system to Chinese music teachersThe first part analyzed the connotation of the system and introduced the history of the system,relevant laws as well as policy basis, generalizing the necessity and inevitability of introducing the certification system.Chapter Two The analysis of Chinese certification systemChapter two analyzed the tests for music teachers’ qualification, upgraded requirements for them by revised music curriculum criteria,the new round of tests for music teachers’ qualification and described the current situation of music teachers’ qualification in China,which elaborating the Chinese certification system.Chapter Three Chapter Three Introduction to new music curriculum standard at compulsory education periodThrough introducing the urgency of reform, the humanity and practicalness of new music curriculum standard, the chapter explores the creative points of new curriculum reform. Chapter Four Analysis of teachers’qualities reflected by the teachers’qualification certificate systemChapter Four The expectation for Chinese music teachers Based on the previous three chapters, the chapter introduces the expected qualities of music teachers through the analysis of professional music skills, cultural qualities of music teachers, analysis of basic qualities of qualified teachers, research on life-long professional development theory and teaching of music teachers.
